PCC Men’s Soccer Defeats Chandler-Gilbert CC

 Tucson, AZ – The men’s soccer team (6-4-2) scored four goals in the second half to beat Chandler-Gilbert Community College 4-2 on Thursday at the West Campus’ Aztecs Field.  

Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Aztecs scored early in the second half when Enrique Alvarez (Flowing Wells HS) used a header to score his goal in the 46th minute. Alexis Medina (Nogales HS) scored two goals for the Aztecs. His first goal came in the 54th minute that tied the game at 2-2. He scored his second using his back-heel to put the ball in the net in the 80th minute. Yahya Kane (Al Baraka, Mauritania) gave the Aztecs the lead for good when he scored off a penalty-kick rebound in the 73rd minute.

Tyler Wilson (Buena HS) made some big saves for the Aztecs in the second half and finished the game with six. Pima outshot Chandler-Gilbert 14-8.
