Meet the Chancellor

I welcome you on behalf of the Board of Governors, faculty and staff of Pima Community College. The college is defined by two statements that drive us forward. Our vision is: To provide access to learning without the limits of time, place or distance; and our mission is: To develop our community through learning.

These statements mean that we will serve the students who require night time and weekend courses, students who need technical skills to enter the workforce, as well as those seeking continued development in their career field. Low tuition, small classes and academic rigor will continue to make us an attractive undergraduate alternative for university bound students.

Pima Community College also offers programs in adult education and a variety of developmental education courses. Many classes can be taken from your home through distance learning technologies. We have forged partnerships with businesses to ensure that our occupational education programs are relevant to the economic needs of the community. We work closely with education partners in local school districts and the University of Arizona to develop linkages that will serve students better.

We believe that learning should be a life-long pursuit, and we offer a full range of non-credit courses and tours aimed at enriching leisure time. The College is especially proud of its array of visual and performing arts events that range from fine classic fare to the cutting edge.
