PCC Music - Orchestra

May 2 at 3 p.m.
Proscenium Theatre

Under the direction of Dr. Alexander Tentser. The program consists of two major pieces for strings and two flutes: “Concerto Grosso in C” by Corelli and “Concerto Grosso in G” by Handel. Other program selections are “Piano Concerto in F” by Haydn and “Farandole” from L'Arlesienne Suite by Bizet. Tickets are $6 with discounts and group rates available.

PCC Music - Chorale & College Singers

May 3 at 3 p.m.
Proscenium Theatre

Under the direction of Ben Sorenson. The Chorale, a large mixed-voice choir, will sing a medley of songs by Richard Rodgers. Program selections to be sung by the College Singers, a smaller mixed-voice choir, include the rarely performed “Wedding Cantata” by Daniel Pinkham and “Paddlin' Madelin' Home” by Harry Woods. Tickets are $6 with discounts and group rates available.

PCC Dance: A Dancer's Life with the dance drama A Bug's Adventure

May 7-9 at 7:30 p.m.
Proscenium Theatre

Under the direction of Kristin Eberhardt. “A Dancer's Life” features a reflective composition of the different ways dancers live their lives as told through student choreographer's eyes. The family dance drama “A Bug's Adventure” weaves the saga of an ant named Flex who goes on a quest to help save the ant colony. Tickets are $5.

PCC Fashion Design -  Student Fashion Show

May 13 at 7:30 p.m.
Proscenium Theatre

The theme for the show is “Peace,Love and Fashion.” Student designers take their original works to the catwalk and compete for awards. Admission is free and open to the public.

PCC Communications: Poetry Reading

May 14 at 7 p.m.
Black Box Theatre

Faculty Tom Speer's students present poetry they have written this past semester. Admission is free and open to the public.

PCC Digital Arts: Digital Video & Film Screening

May 16-17 at 7 p.m.
Proscenium Theatre

Under the direction of David Wing. The screening will include film and video work from students in the beginning and advanced classes, along with the premiere screening of “Estaban's Ride” and “Todas Almas.” Admission is free and open to the public.

PCC Communications: SandScript Reading

May 20 at 7 p.m.
Black Box Theatre

Students present original stories, poems and artwork from PCC's 2009 literary magazine, SandScript. Copies of the magazine will be available to the audience. Admission is free and open to the public.

PCC Communications: Writers' Workshop

May 29-31
Center for the Arts

The workshop is for all writers, beginning and experienced. It offers opportunities to talk and consult with professional writers and agents, as well as to write. For more information call 520-206-6974.
