Recent works by Laurie Blakeslee, Christina McNearney, Melanie Yazzie. Gallery talks and artists reception: 9/28, 1:30-2:30 p.m. (talks) and 5-7 p.m. (reception). Tucson Visiting Artist Consortium lecture by Melanie Yazzie: 9/29 at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall. The gallery and its programs are free and open to the public. Gallery hours: Mon.-Thu. 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Fri. 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and before most evening performances in the Center for the Arts theatres.

PCC Music: Yamaha Performing Artist Jason Ham on Euphonium
October 27 at 7:30 p.m. Recital Hall
Jason Ham performs exclusively on the YEP-842 euphonium. Now in his seventh year with the West Point Band in New York, he has established himself as one of America's most active euphonium soloists. The program includes Dominique Roggen's "Concertino for Euphonium in Bb Major," G. F. Handel's "Ombra Mai Fu," George Gershwin's "Three Preludes," and Franz Schubert's "La Serenade." Tickets $6 with discounts available.

PCC Theatre: See How They Run
November 4-15, Wed. preview, Thu.-Sat. at 7:30 p.m., Sun. at 2 p.m. Black Box Theatre
Directed by Mickey Nugent. Philip King's outrageously funny British farce is seeped in nostalgic WWII period and set in a village outside of London. The play revolves around a nosy spinster's conviction that the vicar's wife in having an affair. Her attempts to expose her take on a life of its own as one ridiculous situation after another unfolds. A bumbling stream of characters romp hilariously over one another as they run in and out of each hilarious scene. ASL interpreters 11/12. Tickets $15 with discounts available.

Under the musical direction of Dean Schoff and stage direction of Anna Schoff, a sampler platter of fully staged and costumed scenes are presented from popular and well-loved operas and musicals. Tickets $6 with discounts available.

PCC Music: Jazz Improv Combos

Directed by Mike Kuhn. The concert features three combos, all of which have a rhythm section, several horns and a vocalist. Each group will play jazz standards, and draw from the Great American Songbook. Tickets $6 with discounts available.
