General Matters Call to Order Scott Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:25 p.m. New Business Truth in Taxation (TNT) – Notice of Tax Increase Motion to Approve Truth in Taxation (TNT) Notice of Tax Decrease PASSES
Motion No. 6814 Brenda Even – M, Marty Cortez – S, to approve Pima County Community College District’s increase in primary property tax rate for FY 2009. Vote: Board members voted by roll call vote. Brenda Even – “aye,” Sherryn Marshall - "aye," Marty Cortez - "aye," Scott Stewart - "aye,” Richard Fimbres – “aye.” None were opposed. Motion carried. Adoption of Fiscal Year 2008/2009 Proposed Budget Motion to Approve Adoption of Fiscal Year 2008/2009 Proposed Budget PASSES
Motion No. 6815 Richard Fimbres – M, Sherryn Marshall – S, to adopt the proposed budget for the Pima County Community College District for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. Approval of One-Time Tax Increase Motion to Approve Approval of One-Time Tax Increase PASSES
Motion No. 6816 Marty Cortez – M, Brenda Even – S, to approve the one-time tax increase to refund Qwest for the College’s proportional share of the statewide refund settlement as provided by Arizona Revised Statute 42-16214. Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
