Chancellor Flores administered the Loyalty Oath to reelected members Marty Cortez and Sherryn Marshall. Election of Board of Governors' Officers and Arizona Association of District Governing Board's Representative For 2007 Motion to Elect Chairman of the Governing Board PASSES
Motion No. 6712 Marty Cortez – M, Sherryn Marshall – S that Richard Fimbres serve as Chairperson of the Board of Governors of the Pima County Community College District in 2007. Vote: All Board members present voted “aye” by voice vote. None were opposed. Motion carried. Motion to Elect Secretary of the Governing Board PASSES
Motion No. 6716 Brenda Even – M, Richard Fimbres – S that Scott Stewart serve as Secretary of the Board of Governors of the Pima County Community College District in 2007. Vote: All Board members present voted “aye” by voice vote. None were opposed. Motion carried. Motion to Elect Representative to the Arizona Association of District Governing Boards PASSES
Motion No. 6717 Brenda Even – M, Richard Fimbres – S that Scott Stewart serve as Representative to the Arizona Association of District Governing Boards (AADGB). Mr. Stewart accepted the position until July when his term AADGB Chair ends. Vote: All Board members present voted “aye” by voice vote. None were opposed. Motion carried. Motion to Elect Alternate Representative to the Arizona Association of District Governing Boards PASSES
Motion No. 6718 Scott Stewart – M, Sherryn Marshall – S that Brenda Even serve as Alternate Representative to the Arizona Association of District Governing Boards (AADGB) through June 2007. Beginning July, Dr. Even will serve as AADGB representative, with Mr. Stewart as alternate. Vote: All Board members present voted “aye” by voice vote. None were opposed. Motion carried. Proposed Annual Calendar of Regular Board Meetings, 2007 Motion to Adopt Annual Calendar of Regular Board Meetings in 2007 PASSES
