Bypass lower-level courses by passing challenge exams. Contact an Assessment Center for more information.

Biology
Students have 90 minutes to answer 80 multiple-choice questions. A flyer with more information is available from any Assessment Center.

You must score at least: 70 percent
In order to bypass: BIO 156

Chemistry
Students have 45 minutes to answer 40 multiple-choice questions. Information and a practice test are available from any Assessment Center.

You must score at least: 45 percent
In order to bypass: CHM80

Computer Science
Students have 90 minutes to complete this two-part test. Part I includes 50 multiple choice questions on terminology, hardware, software and secondary devices. Part II requires flowcharting and coding a program in Basic, Pascal or C (other languages require Computer Science department approval).

You must score at least: 80 percent on both parts
In order to bypass: CSA 100

Languages
Tests in French, German and Spanish are available the first week of the semester from either the West Campus or Downtown Campus Assessment Center. Before taking the test you must enroll in and pay for the language course you wish to bypass.
