PCC’s Wenneborg named ACCAC track coach of year

Another Pima coach has earned conference Coach of the Year honors.

Track coach Greg Wenneborg recently received the honor from the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference.

Wenneborg’s men’s and women’s teams have nearly two dozen members qualified for the 2009 NJCAA Outdoor Nationals May 21-23 in Hutchinson, Kan.

Wenneborg is the fourth PCC coach to win ACCAC honors in 2009. Other PCC coaches receiving the honor this year are David Cosgrove (men’s soccer coach), Todd Holthaus (women’s basketball) and Gretchen Schantz (women’s tennis).
