Baseball player named 'Batter of the Week"

PCC baseball player Kody Johnson (SO, Tucson, AZ, Cienega HS) has been named the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference 'Batter of the Week' for the week ending March 29, 2009.

Johnson led the Aztecs to a 2-2 week as he hit .500 (7-14) scored five runs and drove in nine RBIs. The first baseman also showed power at the plate as he hit two home runs and a triple.

Johnson currently leads the Aztecs in many offensive categories including: doubles (11), home runs (7) and RBIs (34).

The 22-15-1 Aztecs will look to improve their 12-10 conference record as they host GateWay Community College on March 31. First pitch in the ACCAC doubleheader is scheduled for 12:00 pm at the PCC West Campus baseball field.
