Housing

Pima Community College does not have dormitories or student housing. There are several rental agencies in Tucson and Arizona has a Homestay program. Arizona Student Housing and University House are two websites with information on housing for students in Tucson. The Arizona Daily Star newspaper (Classifieds) also lists apartments for rent. (Please note that Pima Community College is not responsible for the information contained in these websites).

TOEFL Test of English as a Foreign Language

Most American colleges and universities require a minimum TOEFL score for studying in an academic program. For information on where to take the test and how to apply, visit the official TOEFL site: www.toefl.org.

English Language Centers

Pima Community College offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classees. For other intensive English programs visit English Language Centers. Students can transfer to Pima College for academic study from one of these English Language Centers. The University of Arizona, Center for English as a Second Language also provides intensive English programs.

Health Insurance Information

Study Abroad

The International Office at Pima Community College has information on study abroad programs for American students who want to spend time in another country. Pima College is actively involved with the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program. Each year a student from Germany comes to Pima and a student from Pima can compete with other applicants to spend a year in Germany. The International Partnership for Service Learning offers study abroad programs with a service component. The International Office at Pima Community College has information on that program.
