Special Programs

As part of Pima's continuing mission to offer something for everyone who wants a chance at a quality education, we offer a number of credit and non-credit classes to meet the needs of our community.

Some of these programs and services require different or additional admissions procedures. Some academic programs have additional admissions requirements that students must meet in order to be admitted to the program.

Non-credit classes / study tours

No admissions form is required. When you register for a non-credit class you are automatically admitted as a non-credit student! The Personal Interest section offers additional details.

International students

Please visit the International Students section of our site to learn about the special admissions forms and requirements that apply to international students.

Distance education students

Distance education students should complete the regular admissions forms. Pima strives to help distance education students succeed, so be sure to consult our helpful tips for distance education students and other special support services. Transfer students

Transfer students should complete the regular admissions process. While orientation is recommended, it is not required of students who have attended other colleges or universities. Assessment testing may be waived for students who have already successfully completed college level English and mathematics courses. Transfer students should bring all educational records to their advising session for evaluation. Learn more about how to transfer credits to PCC.

Special admission requirements for specific academic programs

Some specific academic programs, such as Health Related Professions have special admission requirements. Consult the College Catalog or contact any Admissions Office for information about programs of interest to you.

Pima College Adult Education

Pima offers a wide range of Adult Education programs, including GED preparation and a host of other community programs. Students who are registering for PCAE classes do not need to complete the regular admissions form. Learn more about Pima College Adult Education.
