Faculty within a discipline will review new or modified curriculum within their discipline. Faculty are grouped by disciplines and communicate with each other through a College-Wide Discipline Area Committee (CDAC). CDACs have a role in the review of curriculum during the curriculum approval process. The process includes:
- Prepared curriculum documents are submitted to the appropriate CDAC for review.
- The CDAC may review and comment on the curriculum submissions.
- The CDAC chair person must sign the CDAC Curriculum Review Form and submit the form to the College Curriculum Office.
- The College Curriculum Office submits the CDAC comments and/or recommendation to the College Curriculum Council.
Additional responsibilities are specified in the Curriculum Procedures Manual and in the Guidelines for College Discipline Area Committees.
